Open Christchurch is run by Te Pūtahi Centre for Architecture and City Making, an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to making it fun and desirable for everybody to participate in the shaping and enjoyment of Ōtautahi Christchurch. Open Christchurch is an annual one-weekend-only festival of exceptional architecture. It’s for everyone in Christchurch.
Over the course of one weekend, building owners/kaitiaki of more than 45 buildings throw open their doors so that locals and visitors can enjoy a first-hand experience of great design, from the inside.
It is a chance to get up close to buildings you love or to discover new spaces.
Over the past four years, I've had the privilege of contributing to various projects with Te Pūtahi. Among them, Open Christchurch has been particularly rewarding. This will mark my fourth Open Christchurch festival, where I've used Kerry Argus's branding elements to create a range of social media tiles, reels, posters, signage, and reports. These pieces play a pivotal role in employing bold visual communication strategies to effectively promote the event.
